A bright and friendly local history museum, located in the Bishop's Gaol in the centre of the historical citry. The Museum is the history centre for the Isle of Ely and the Fens and it takes you on a journey through time from prehistory to the twentieth century.
Displays include original prison cells, fossils that can be touched, Roman remains and an archive film of the Fens, including punt guns and eel catching. There is also a programme of special events and temporary exhibitions running throughout the year.

Wheelchair available and stair lift to the first floor. There is also a gift shop with a wide range of gifts and books.
Group Visit Information
Guided tours of the galleries can be made available if booked in advance. Groups must be between 10 and 30 people.
Ample free car parking is available to visitors in official car parks within the City Centre
