Need a break from history, exploring and shopping? Ely and the surrounding area offer a wide range of leisure facilities! Have a refreshing splash in the Paradise Swimming pool, practise your golf swing within the scenic setting of Ely’s golf club or at the local driving ranges and take the opportunity to enjoy the Fens by bike, boat or on horseback!
For those who are looking for a more relaxed approach, why not enjoy a spot of fishing or a soothing boat trip along the Great River Ouse with a cream tea served on board. Alternatively, the Ely sailing club is based at the Roswell pits near the centre of Ely. With over 40 acres of attractive fresh water available to sail on and with small islands, trees and banks, the sailing is always interesting and challenging.
