This cycle ride starts from the horseracing capital of the world, Newmarket. From here the route heads north west to the ‘Fen edge’ villages of Burwell, Reach and Swaffham Prior. These former inland ports date back to Roman times, with their ancient waterways or ‘lodes’. In complete contrast, the return journey takes you into a rolling patchwork of chalk grasslands, paddocks and woodland, home to lavish stud farms.

Attractively housed in a series of reconstructed historical buildings, everyday village life spanning for Stoneage to present is fasinatingly portrayed. From garming machinery to vintage cars, to Victorian school room and village shop scenes. Step back in time and be reminded of an age gone past.
