Fordham (Population 2730)
Fordham is a large village 4 miles north of Newmarket, with a good range of local facilities, including several shops, a post office, a hairdresser, the Royal British Legion, two restaurants, two public houses, a petrol station, a village hall, a community centre, a day care centre for the elderly, three churches, a primary school and pre-school and a bus service which runs seven days a week. The recreation ground has excellent sporting facilities such as bowls, cricket, football and tennis.
