Mepal (Population 910)
Mepal is a compact village approximately 6 miles west of Ely. The facilities include a primary school, post office/shop, a petrol station (also car repairs), a public house and a village hall. There is also a children’s play area and a playing field. A bus service runs through the village daily. The Mepal Outdoor Centre lies within the parish but some distance from the village. This centre provides a number of indoor and outdoor sporting facilities including yachting and windsurfing.
