Swaffham Prior (Population 730)

Swaffham Prior is an attractive fen-edge village approximately 9 miles northeast of Cambridge that has become increasingly popular with commuters, particularly people working in Cambridge.  The village is famous for its twin churches built side by side.  St Mary’s is now used as the parish church while St Cyriac’s is maintained by the Churches Conservation Trust and used for bell ringing and for village events.

Local village facilities include a primary school, a public house, the churches as mentioned, three chapels, a village hall, a scout hut and various sporting and play facilities.
