Visit Ely

Cruise the river Great Ouse. 30 minutes cruises depart regularly from Ship Lane (front of The Maltings) starting from 11am at weekends daily at holiday times.

Cruise and Dine Service: Dine in style at at the Lazy Otter restaurant and bar. Departs Friday and Saturday evenings at 6.20pm from Ship Lane (Ely) returning at 11.00pm (journey time 80 minutes each way)

Location

Ely sailing club is based at the Roswell pits near the centre of Ely.   We have over 40 acres of attractive fresh water available to sail on.  With small islands, trees and banks, the sailing is always interesting and challenging.  Crews are able to sail without getting their feet wet.  We have dry launching and boarding directly from jetties.   We are an RYA affiliated club and meet the safety and management criteria required.  We have also been awarded Volvo championship club status for our race training.

Conditions of use

• There is no charge to mooring your vessal in Ely (ECDC controlled moorings only)
• There is a maximum stay of 48 hours, with no return in 48 hrs to the moorings.
• East Cambridgeshire District Council bye laws apply's to the moorings between Ely high Bridge and the Railway Bridge at Willow Walk, Ely.
• No person shall carry out repairs/refurbishment work to the vessal except in the case of an emergency.
• No person shall be permitted to sell goods or services unless agreement is sort from the district council
